Goals:

Work on the air from historical places, monuments and the architectural constructions relating to fortification to rise of interest to historical and architectural heritage as well as visiting extant historical monuments.

During the World Castles Weekend there is a good possibility to fulfil a conditions of various award programs and increase your collection by beautiful QSL-cards.

Radio hams of all countries and territories are invited.

The three weekend of June (Saturday and Sunday).

For 2013, on June, 15th - 16th.

Time:

From 00:00 UTC of Saturday till 23:59 UTC of Sunday.

Classes:

A – Stations working from fortresses, castles and other historical objects (no more than 1 km from object) – field conditions;

B – Stations working from fortresses, castles and other historical objects (no more than 1 km from object) – field conditions - QRP (only 10 watt);

C – Stations working from fortresses, castles and other historical objects (no more than 1 km from object) – residents;

D - WCAG members;

E – Others;

F – SWL.

Bands:

All HF and VHF amateur bands.

Modes:

CW, SSB, DIGITAL, FM


Repeted QSO:

Repeated QSO on different bands and by different kinds of modes are allowed.

Call:

«CQ WCW» - «CQ World Castles Weekend»

Exchange:

Stations working from fortresses, castles and other historical objects give report and number of object according to WCA-list . For example, 59(9) CT-01880.

WCAG members give report and member's number. For example, 59(9) 011

Other hams give only report.

 
Awards:

- All hams who will take part in the World Castles Weekend can, if they want, get the memorable diploma-certificate in electronic form.

Application for the memorable diploma-certificate should be sent by e-mail to S5-WCA team wca@hamradio.si (NEW)

- Radio hams, participants of class "A/B", are awarded by electronic diplomas "WCAA - World Castles Activator Award".

- The radio hams scored maximum QSO in each class ( A- F ) are awarded by special WCW pennon.
